Using CookTheReel means you agree to these terms. They’re written to be readable; the plain-English summaries are part of the terms, not decoration.

What CookTheReel is

CookTheReel turns public cooking videos into written recipe pages — the source video embedded via the platform’s own player, the creator credited and linked, and the recipe written down so you can actually cook from it. Recipes are prepared with care from what the video shows and says, but they’re provided as is: taste, check doneness, and use your judgment — especially around allergens, raw ingredients, and food safety. You cook at your own risk.

Your account

You need an account to submit videos or save recipes. Keep your sign-in method to yourself; you’re responsible for what happens under your account. You can delete your account any time by emailing privacy@cookthereel.com (see the privacy policy).

Submitting videos

• Submit links to public cooking videos only — things that belong on a recipe site.
• Don’t spam, don’t submit private/unlisted content, and don’t submit anything illegal or harmful.
• Submissions go through a quality gate and may be edited, held for review, or declined. We may remove any page at any time — including at the request of the video’s creator.

Creators’ content

Videos stay on their platforms and belong to their creators — we embed, never rehost. The written recipe pages, site design, and brand are ours. If a page was made from your video, you can claim it or have it removed, fast and without argument: your videos, your call.

Acceptable use

Don’t attack, scrape at abusive volume, probe, overload, or otherwise mess with the service; don’t misrepresent your affiliation with us; don’t use the site to violate someone else’s rights.

Disclaimers & liability

The service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, CookTheReel and its operator aren’t liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data, arising from your use of the site — and our total liability for any claim is limited to US $50. Some jurisdictions don’t allow certain limits, so parts of this may not apply to you.

Changes

We may update these terms; the date above always reflects the current version. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms. If a change is significant, we’ll note it on the site.
